Konrad Kreuzer, chairman of E.ON Hungária, will lead a panel discussion on "Investing in Green Energy in the United States and Europe," from 5-6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, in the Mancheski Executive Seminar Room in the Lender School of Business Center.
Kreuzer will be joined by Robert Lahey, vice president at Ardour Capital Investments, an investment bank specializing in alternative energy finance, and at S-Network Global Indexes, LLC, a developer of thematic indexes including industries focusing on both traditional and alternative energy. Kreuzer will also be joined by Josiah B. Venter, portfolio manager and director at Ingalls & Snyder, LLC., where he specializes in equities analysis and the management of individual retirement and institutional portfolios.
The panel will discuss the investment in green energy in the United State and Europe. They will focus on some of the common challenges facing families, businesses and governments as well as some of the differences in approach found around the world.

Kreuzer was chairman of the board of directors of E.ON Hungária and simultaneously chairman of E.ON Slovakia until 2009. Under Kreuzer's management since 1997, E.ON Hungária has become one of Hungary's 10 largest companies in terms of revenue. It also has been Hungary's top investor since 2006. E.ON Energie AG was established in Munich, Germany, in 2000 and is the largest privately-owned energy supplier in Europe. Kreuzer studied law and management at the University of Munich, taught law in Germany and maintains an active interest in education.
