Woodbridge Recreation Camp @ Massaro Farm

Massaro Farm introduces a NEW summer camp for 6-9 year-olds led by experienced environmental educators. This camp is intended to give your child a close-up view of the natural world and a greater awareness of the environment we inhabit.

Daily activities include stories, activities, natural crafts and snack time in our renovated barn or at our outdoor picnic tables.

Our camp’s focus will be based on the mission of Massaro Community Farm: Keep farming, feed people and build community. Campers will actively explore the farm’s 57 acres of woods, fields and wetlands, including 5 acres of crops in active production.

Campers will participate in structured activities that will encourage learning about nature, the daily operations of a working organic farm, healthy food and nutrition, and the interconnectedness of all living things.

The farm includes a newly established walking trail through the woods, a Learning Garden, honeybee apiaries, a flock of chickens and a recently renovated dairy barn (providing indoor space for rainy days).

A typical day will focus on a theme, with time for learning and exploration, a healthy snack, games, stories and a craft. All staff is certified in first aid/CPR.
