Update: New Haven Man Killed in Car Accident in Bethany

The accident occurred Saturday morning on Route 69. Police have not said if weather contributed to the cause of the accident.

Update 5 p.m.

Police say Angel Flores, 29, of New Haven, was killed when the car he was driving Saturday morning on Route 69 in Bethany collided with another car, NBC Connecticut reports.

The accident occurred just before 10 a.m. Flores was driving a Saturn and Richlin M. Morrow, 42, was driving a Range Rover, NBC Connecticut reports.

The road was closed for hours Saturday. The accident is under investigation and police have yet to release the cause of the accident.

A fatal accident has closed Route 69 between Rainbow Road and the Woodbridge town line.

The accident involved two vehicles, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Police are on the scene and investigating, according to NBC Connecticut.
