First Selectman Joins Women in Leadership Panel
The panel marked women's history month

Woodbridge First Selectman Ellen Scalettar was a panelist at a recent event in Hartford to mark Women’s History month.
The event, “Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History” featured five women leaders – Mayor Marcia Leclerk of East Hartford, Mayor Rachel Rochette of Berlin, Mayor Elizabeth Paterson of Mansfield, Mayor Debery Hinchey of Norwich and Scalettar.
Mary Glassman, Former First Selectman of Simsbury, served as the moderator. The discussion focused on how these women got involved in politics, their accomplishments, the challenges they faced and how they overcame them and lessons learned.
