Fleeing Driver Burglarizes Home, Gets Arrested: Woodbridge PD

He crashed his vehicle and tried to flee on foot, but was eventually captured, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A New Haven man was arrested after he fled from police twice and tried to hide in a residence, police said.

Orange Police attempted to pull over a vehicle near the town line on Aug. 15, but it fled. Woodbridge Police located the vehicle and attempted to pull it over, but again it fled.

The vehicle crashed at the intersection of Racebook and Rimmon Roads and operator Darrelle McFadden, 25, fled on foot, police said.

He fled into an unlocked residence, but left when confronted by the homeowners. He was eventually captured by police and charged with interfering with police, third-degree burglary, reckless driving, failure to obey an officer's signal and motor vehicle violations.
