Isabel was a very talented pianist and soloist and loved imparting her love of music to her children.

The following obituary of Isabel T. Appapillai, 96, of Woodbridge, is from the Cody-White Funeral Home:
Isabel T. Appapillai, age 96, of Woodbridge, beloved wife of 59 years to the late Professor Velupillai Appapillai, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2016.
Born on October 10, 1919, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, she was the daughter of the late James and Lydia Joseph. Isabel was a very talented pianist and soloist and loved imparting her love of music to her children. Nothing gave her more joy than being a loving wife and devoted mother. She was a kind and gentle soul who gave of herself generously for the care and wellbeing of all her grandchildren.

Isabel leaves behind her children, Prem of Australia, Mano, Kumu and Daya; her children-in-law, Debbie, Lucky and Yohini; her grandchildren, Sanji, Tara, Anjuli, Anil, Kimberly, Ayesha, Andrew and Anitra; her great-grandchildren, Ben, Lucas, William, Grant, Axel, Cole, Kalinda and Sydney; and her sister, Rukmani Peries; and many nieces and nephews. Isabel was predeceased by her siblings, Amybelle DeSilva and Andrew Joseph.
The family has been compassionately cared for by the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad Street Milford, CT.
