It's Still Fresh at the Bethany's Farmers Market

Baby, it's cold outside! Not exactly the kind of weather that makes you think about visiting a farmer's market, unless you're organizer Nelly Rabinowitz, in which case you can't stop thinking about fresh produce, homemade jams, aritsan crafts and local maple syrup. Rabinowitz has kept Bethany's Farmers Market going at its new inside venue at and has her eye on expansion.

Currently, she is looking at ways to supply fresh produce to residents once January arrives and the local supply comes to a screeching halt.

"The idea is to offer local produce and products," Rabinowitz said, "but there isn't much locally grown in the winter. We're thinking of ways to bring in fresh produce every week, organic if possible."

Meanwhile, there is a selection of handmade jams and jellies, syrups, baked goods, cheeses and yogurt, handcrafted jewelry and more.

The is open every Saturday at Bethany Town Hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
