Junior Woodbridge Gardeners Learn Floral Design

Brownie Scout Troop #60865 from Beecher Elementary School in Woodbridge, had a class in Floral Design and Arrangement. The speaker was Susan Hildebrand, state certified floral design judge for the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut, Inc. and current President of the Garden Club of Woodbridge.

Their leader is Colleen Inclima, and she arranged for a shopping cart of flowers to be donated by Trader Joe's in Orange. The Garden Club supplied extra greenery to embellish the arrangements. Photos of the scouts are on display at Trader Joe's.

Susan and Colleen have led the scouts in several conservation classes as the club's Junior Garden Club,as well as their Scout curriculum. Each of the 20 girls were able to bring their arrangements home that afternoon.
