Man Chooses Wrong Location to Allegedly Punch Ex in the Face, Warrant Arrest

On Feb. 21 Sirvon Strickland, 24, of Beacon Ave., East Haven, met with the mother of his children at the to exchange the children per custody arrangements. Words were exchanged and Strickland first shoved the claimant against the car, then punched her in the face. The claimant then walked inside the police station and explained what had happened.

Strickland was quickly arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Assault in the Third. He made his $500 bond, and was given a court date of Feb. 23 in accordance with the Domestic Violence Act.

On Feb. 21 Paulette Rivera, 47, of Glen St., New Britain, was arrested on a warrant stemming from an event that happened on Dec. 30, 2011 at 21 Bradley Road. Rivera was charged with Threatening and Harassment. She posted her $2,500 bond and was given a court date of March 7.
