Man Took Money For Job He Never Did: Woodbridge Police

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A Woodbridge man is accused of taking payment for work that he didn't complete, police said.

On July 29, members of the Woodbridge Police Department served an active criminal arrest warrant for Kevin Merkle, 56. Merkle’s arrest stems from an incident in early July 2018 where Merkle took payment for work that he did not complete, police said.

Merkle was arrested and charged with third-degree larceny. Upon posting his $5,000.00 court set bond he was released with a court date of August 16, 2018 in New Haven Superior Court for his arraignment. To sign up for Bethany and Woodbridge breaking news alerts and more, click here.
