Massaro Community Farm has been supplying the community with fresh, organic vegetables and events for over a dozen years. Thanks to our reputation for quality produce and a commitment to regenerative practices we've seen the demand for that produce increase with time. We've also seen an increased demand for outdoor activities in the last several years.

Thanks to these demands and our own careful planning, we've added several new positions to our farm crew in 2022. Below is a short list of positions the farm is currently recruiting for:

- Full time Educational Program Director - oversees themes and content of adult and youth educational programs happening on the farm and with community partners. Supported by the assistant education director and part time education staff.

- Food and garden liaison - the farm maintains its commitment to donate at least 10% of its harvest all season long to hunger relief. This often means acting quickly to place fresh produce with pantries and soup kitchens. It also includes facilitating seeds, supplies and volunteerism at 12 community gardens across the Naugatuck Valley.

- Part-time educators - the farm programming for children, especially ages 3-18, is currently limited to the number of educators we have on staff. If you come on board, we can increase the number of classes of weekend explorers, after school programs and field trips we can offer!

- Summer Youth Employment Program - 20/hrs a week for rising high school sophomore to seniors. Summer youth work alongside farm crew in all aspects of the growing operation. Hours are mornings Monday-Thursday starting late June through early August (8-10 weeks)

- Summer Camp staff - for the second year in a row, the farm will be offering 6 weeks of full day summer camp. Staffers oversee a cohort of 9-12 students, ages 5-11. Support provided by camp director and teen assistants in job training. Several training days include orientation to the farm, its staff, goats and chickens.

All detailed job descriptions are posted on our website at: Jobs & Internships.

Please follow instructions to apply. Due to the group size of our staff, close working conditions and that we are fresh food handlers, we currently require all farm staff be fully vaccinated prior to first day of employment. Come join our growing farm family!
