Matt Iannucci is Woodbridge’s newest police officer. Officer Iannucci says his family and friends often told him that he’d make a good police officer. To test out the theory, he did a couple of ride-alongs with officers in Woodbridge. Based on those experiences he studied criminology at Central Connecticut State University.
“Once I started my first class and did my ride along I just knew,” he says.
Officer Iannucci enjoys being in the community and helping to protect people. The camaraderie was also a big attraction for him. “I come from an athletic background so I was looking for that strong brotherhood in a career,” he says.

Officer Iannucci graduated from the Milford Police Academy on March 14 and started patrolling Woodbridge the following week.
