Merritt Parkway Improvements To Begin In 2018
The project will start next year, but rehabilitation of the Heroes Tunnel is slated for 2022.
WOODBRIDGE, CT - A project to improve the Merritt Parkway will begin next year, but rehabilitation of the Heroes Tunnel won't start until 2022, according to Woodbridge Town News. The 2018 work will include changes to the Litchfield Turnpike at Exit 59. A 2009 study found that the Heroes Tunnel through West Rock Ridge in New Haven is in serious need of updates, but plans for the rehabilitation are still being formed.
