New Deputy Chief Welcomed By Woodbridge Police Department
Ronald Smith Jr. joined the department this week from the Hamden Police Department.
WOODBRIDGE, CT — A new deputy chief has been named by the Woodbridge Police Department to replace longtime Deputy Chief Raymond Stuart, who retired in January.
New Deputy Police Chief Ronald Smith Jr. was sworn in on Wednesday.
He joins the Woodbridge force following his recent retirement from the Hamden Police Department, where he had a lengthy and decorated career. During his tenure in Hamden, Smith served in various supervisory and administrative capacities and ranks.

Woodbridge Police Chief Frank Cappiello said that Deputy Chief Smith "brings a wealth of experience and exemplary attributes" to his new job, which will "complement the goals and objectives of the Woodbridge Police Department."
