OBIT: Scott Michael DellaTorre, 21, of Bethany

Scott Michael DellaTorre, age 21, of Bethany, passed away suddenly on August 23, 2015. Scott was born to Robert Michael and Pamela Barton DellaTorre in New Haven, CT on April 23, 1994.

Scott graduated from Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge in 2012. He went to University of Maryland and was pursuing a degree in Computer Science. Scott was an Eagle Scout and was an avid outdoorsman.

He just completed an internship with Google and was about to embark on his senior year of college. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family when he was home on break.

Not only was he able to excel in school but he was very curious about the world and he was able to teach himself many things; including, but not limited to, computer programming, guitar and piano. Scott was always willing to help others and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his siblings, Alysse and Mark DellaTorre of Bethany; grandparents, Emanuel & Kate DellaTorre of Milford, Agnes Barton of Merida, Mexico and Eugene & Patricia Dumas of Milford; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his grandmother Gloria Barton Conder and grandfather Edward Barton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 81 Center Rd., Woodbridge, CT. Interment is private.

Friends and family may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to the Scott Michael DellaTorre Scholarship Fund at Amity Regional High School, 25 Newton Rd., Woodbridge, CT 06525.
