She was an elementary school teacher for the Woodbridge Public Schools for several years until marrying and raising her family.

Phyllis R. Triano, 98, formerly of Yalesville, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 15, 2018, at Masonicare Health Center. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph F. Triano Sr. for 75 years.
She was born in New Haven on August 12, 1919, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Bessie (Vitaligano) Russo. She was an Elementary School Teacher for the Woodbridge Public Schools for several years until marrying, becoming a homemaker, and raising her family.

She is survived by her children Margie Triano, Joseph Triano Jr. (MaryAnn), and Phyllis Stone (William); and her brother, Frank Russo. She also leaves behind her grandchildren MaryAnn, Jamie, Kim, Nikki and Will, and great grandchildren Melody, Jason, Taylor, Ben and Steven, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marguerite Santagata, Irene Stash, and Josephine Troiano.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. Gifts in her memory may be sent to Masonicare Home Health &Hospice 104 S Turnpike Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492.
