Obituary: Robert Fortin, 59, Of Naugatuck

NAUGATUCK, CT - Robert J. Fortin, age 59, passed away on Monday November 20, 2017. He was born in Waterbury, CT on July 18, 1958, son of Genevieve (Czarzasty) Truyens of Naugatuck. A lifelong Naugatuck resident, Bob graduated from Naugatuck High School, and had worked at Platt Brothers in Waterbury.

Besides his loving mother Genevieve, he leaves his sister, Frances Ann Smith of Waterbury; his niece Jennifer Smith; his nephew Joshua Smith; and his aunt Hedwig Normand of Middlebury. Bob was predeceased by his father Anthony Truyens.

His funeral will be held on Saturday November 25, 2017 at 09:30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, to St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill Street, Naugatuck, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
