Obituary: William F. Heitman, 88, of Bethany

Bethany - William F. Heitman, 88, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at his home in Bethany. He was the husband of the late Elsie (Digioa) Heitman.

Mr. Heitman was born November 9, 1929 in Chicago, IL, a son of the late Frank and Irene (Lunt) Heitman. He was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, where he worked as a toolmaker. He was a proud member of Shepherd-Salem Lodge, # 78 A.F. & A.M. of Naugatuck.

Mr. Heitman is survived by his sons, William Heitman and Robert Heitman and his wife, Mary, his daughter, Karen Gabriel, and her husband, Mark, and his brother Alan Heitman. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Mary, Matthew, Laura, and Sara, and his great granddaughter, Emily. He was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie.

Arrangements- Calling hours for Mr. Heitman will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M at The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions, in William’s name, may be made to Bethany Ambulance Corps., 765 Amity Road, Bethany CT 06524.
