For the Schurman family of Bethany, CL&P did more than just fall down on the job.
Being without power, it turned out, was the least of the Schurman family's worries. Their real problems began once CL&P "fixed" their electricity and reversed the wiring, sending 220 volts through the entire house and destroying appliances and the main electrical box.
