PD: Bethany Man Arrested After Domestic Assault
The man allegedly hit his ex-girlfriend with a curtain rod.

A Bethany man was arrested after he allegedly bashed his ex-girlfriend with a curtain rod after he couldn’t find a screwdriver.
A woman called police on Dec. 27 to report being attacked by her ex-boyfriend, State Police said. She was waiting with a friend at a nearby residence. She had sustained cuts to her face.
She said she was home with her ex-boyfriend John Calash, 37, of Bethany when he became upset after not being able to find a screwdriver in a messy drawer. He complained that the drawer was unorganized and she said, “can’t you do something about it,” according to police.
