PD: Intoxicated Bethany Man Drove Into Holiday Parade

At one point the man veered toward a group of children, police said.

An 80-year-old Bethany man allegedly drove into a Christmas parade in Seymour while intoxicated, according to police.

Lester Warner drove a convertible Chevy Caprice during the parade that promoted the Bethany Volunteer fire Department’s “Santa’s Elves,” according to the Valley Independent Sentinel.

At one point his car drove toward a group of children, but he managed to correct its path.

He was charged with driving under the influence, second-degree endangerment and risk of injury to a child.
