Frost, short winter days do mean more rest for our farmers, as well as time to catch up on paperwork, but they also mean lean times when cash is not flowing. Keep in mind that subscribing to a local CSA means you’re helping to manage that cash flow by providing funds necessary for tools and supplies when the farm needs to make those investments, while affirming your relationship with a farmer who works hard to ensure a consistent variety of food for you through the growing season.

So remember that paying for your Massaro produce in advance not only earns you a discount, it takes the burden of paperwork off the farmer in Spring when he’s already busy tending crops!
