'Rid Litter Day' Coming to a Neighborhood Near You

In celebration of Earth Day, the town of Woodbridge is helping support neighborhood clean-ups.


This Earth Day, join with residents from throughout Woodbridge to make the town a little cleaner and greener.

The town's "Rid Litter Day" will take place on Saturday, April 20 — Earth Day. 

"If there is an area in your neighborhood or you know of an area in Woodbridge that may need some special attention, this is a good time to volunteer for the spring clean up!" according to a press release posted on the town's website.

"This is a great opportunity to participate in a community service project and be proud of your accomplishments and seeing the results of your work!" the town's press release states.

The Woodbridge Public Works Department will provide heavy duty trash bags and will pick up the filled bags on Monday, April 22.

How to Get Involved

If you are interested in participating in the event, please contact the Public Works Office at 203-389-3420 and leave your name, address and a phone number where they can contact you to arrange for the collection bag distribution and record the area you plan to clean up. Filled collection bags should be placed at the closest intersections of the streets for pickup.
