School Bus Accident in Bethany: Children, Driver are Safe

A small school bus veered into a ditch on Rt. 69 at Hatfield Hill just before 9:00 a.m. this morning. Details were not yet available, but preliminary information is that the car was coming out of Hatfield and the bus was heading south on Rt. 69. There were eight children on the bus as well as the driver, and all were fine aside from a few minor complaints. By 9:15 a.m., parents were contacted and had begun arriving to pick up their children. The accident is under investigation. As of 9:30 a.m., one lane remains closed. Use caution.
