Small Cites Grants Available for Woodbridge Residents
HUD offers deferred loans for homeowners in need of repairs, code compliance and much more.

The Town of Woodbridge has announced its plan to apply for a third Small Cities Rehabilitation Grant. The original grants were very successful and town officials hope to continue that success.
The grants are funded by U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and are administered at the State level by the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD). Applications are handled by the town and are reviewed on a first come basis.
Eligibility is based on a combination of household size and annual household income. Some of the work that may be eligible for funding includes the correction of health and safely violations, code compliance, roofing, carpentry, electrical work, painting, plumbing, heating, and other non-luxury work subject to approval of the town.

Typically, funds are offered in the form of deferred loans to owner/occupants. Deferred loans are 0% interest loans which require no payment until a transfer of title, the owner’s demise or the subject property is no longer the applicant’s principle place of residence.
Woodbridge is seeking residents who would like to learn more about the program and be part of a waiting list. If you are interested, please call Pat Crisco at 203-389-3425 to hear more about the program or schedule an appointment.
