P2 Science is a venture-backed company co-founded by Yale scientists, a chemical industry CEO and early-state venture fund Elm Street Ventures, according to company officials.
The business previously was located within Science Park in New Haven.
P2 Science uses feedstock to make high-value chemicals, including flavor, fragrance and cosmetics ingredients. According to the company, some of its first products are vegetable-derived versions of fragrance ingredients that traditionally have been derived from petroleum.
