Stargazing and Marshmallow Roast at Massaro Community Farm

On Saturday, November 2 beginning at 6:30pm, join members of the Astronomical Society of New Haven as they guide us through exploring the night sky at the farm. We think the open space and lack of artificial light make our fields the perfect place for night sky watching!

This family-friendly event welcomes ALL levels of astronomers - from beginners to advanced! If you are curious about constellations, want to hear more about the upcoming solar eclipse, or just want to enjoy a night by the fire, please come by.  Members of the ASNH will have telescopes on hand, but folks are also welcome to bring their own, or a strong pair of binoculars, to aid in viewing.

Also, if you'd like a primer before the event, go here for an interactive sky map and a downloadable 10-page pamphlet on "Getting Started in Astronomy", courtesy of Sky & Telescope. Most importantly, we'll have warm cider and marshmallows for roasting to keep you warm while you gaze. This will be our last event of the season, and we hope to see you there! This event is FREE of charge. Reservations not required, but your call to let us know you're coming will be greatly appreciated! (203) 736-8618
