Student Art on Display at Massaro Annual Meeting
Marking 100 Years of Farming with Student Submitted Posters, sculpture, paintings, photos & more!
In anticipation of celebrating 100 years of farming at Massaro Community Farm this year, we solicited artwork from students - in any media they sought fit - to capture their idea of farming in their community. This weekend, we will display ALL the submissions we received from students far and wide.
On Sunday, March 13 from 2-4pm, Massaro Community Farm will hold its Annual Meeting in the Parish House, First Church of Christ, Meetinghouse Lane in Woodbridge, CT. At the annual meeting, attendees will hear from Farm Manager Steve Munno and Executive Director Caty Poole about what to expect at the farm this year. Members of the board will be on hand to answer questions and offer information about volunteering on committees or board service. All are welcome and light refreshments will be served.
This will also be an opportunity to sign up for this season's 20-week vegetable share subscription, or join Team Massaro, the biking group that will be riding in the 8th annual Rock to Rock bike ride across New Haven to raise funds for the farm's progress and vegetable donation program. Last year, the farm donated more than 7,500 pounds of produce to local hunger relief agencies.
