Suspect Sought in Bethany Home Burglary

Connecticut State Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the man.

BETHANY, CT - Connecticut State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a burglary suspect who was caught on surveillance video in the Bethany home heist.

The suspect is described as a "heavy-set White male, approximately 20-30 years old and was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a blue stripe, blue jeans and a silver wrist watch."

State police said the suspect broke into the Bethany home sometime on Tuesday; the burglary was reported at 4:05 p.m. The images of the suspect are from the homeowner's security cameras.

Various undisclosed items were stolen, and troopers have conducted an on-scene investigation, interviewed witnesses and collected evidence.

Anyone who can identify the suspect, or has information about the burglary, is asked to call Trooper Ryan Burke #303 at Connecticut State Police Troop I at 203-393-4200, or anonymously text “TIP711” with the information to 236748.
