Both juveniles were unable to post bond and were detained in the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center, according to Cappiello.

Cappiello said Woodbridge police obtained video footage of the incidents in Woodbridge and determined that one of the juveniles arrested by West Haven police was responsible for the thefts, and attempted thefts, from vehicles in Woodbridge just before their apprehension in West Haven on Feb. 02.

The 14-year-old was arrested by Woodbridge police on Feb. 20 and charged with two counts each of criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny and criminal trespass, and one count each of sixth-degree larceny, reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
