14-Year-Old Arrested, Charged For Social Media Threat Involving Amity Schools: Police

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A 14-year-old from Woodbridge was arrested Sunday in connection with a threat involving the Amity School District, according to police.
The threat was shared Saturday with multiple students via Instagram, according to police. The teen was charged with two counts of second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace, police said, adding the minor was set to be arraigned Monday in New Haven Juvenile Court.
The investigation was conducted by Woodbridge and Orange police, the New Haven Office of the FBI, and the Amity School District.
