COATS & CLOTHES:Local business Brown Fitness is collecting winter coats and accessories for Coats for Jericho. Coats may be dropped off to The Write Approach at 245 Amity Rd.

Woodbridge Girl Scouts are holding a sock drive in November. All sizes are needed. Residents may contact the Scouts at this email or purchase from Amazon and send directly to the Girl Scouts. Socks listed on the Amazon link are suggestions only -- any socks are acceptable.

Progressions Salon & Wig Boutique is collecting new, unwrapped socks, for women, men, & children through Dec. 4 (245 Amity Rd.). Socks will be given to Woodbridge Human Services to distribute with holiday baskets to local families.

 

TOYS:Toys4Kids: This program supports Woodbridge families and surrounding towns to provide holiday toys to those in need through TEAM, Inc. Due to COVID restrictions, online giving is encouraged. Financial support is desperately needed to purchase toys for children and gift cards for those 8 – 12. To donate or apply: please visit TEAM’s website. Collection boxes for new, boxed toys for ages 0 - 8 will be available in the Town Library and in Youth Services until November 30.

Stuff a Cruiser: Woodbridge Police Department, Katz's Deli and Starbucks co-host the Stuff a Cruiser Event on Dec. 4 from 9-3 pm. Donate a new, unwrapped toy to benefit the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital and Toys for Tots. Priority items include: LEGO kits, art supplies (sketch pads, crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint), infant toys, (mobiles, rattles, light-up or sound toys), puzzles, cards and games.

 

FOOD:Thanksgiving Food Drive at Lady of Our Assumption Church on Nov. 20 from 11 am - 2 pm. This is a contactless drive-thru food drop to support neighboring communities in the fight against food insecurity. Volunteers will remove food from your car. 

Woodbridge Human Services is collecting canned or boxed holiday themed food (i.e. stuffing, canned pumpkin, cranberry sauce) for the Holiday Basket program. Monetary donations and gift cards are accepted as well. Donations should be received by Dec. 1 to 4 Meetinghouse Lane.
