Victim ID Released In Fatal Accident In Bethany: UPDATE
Two cars collided and one person was killed while the other driver was injured, State Police said.

BETHANY, CT — State police say a Shelton man was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Bethany on Friday evening. State Police said John A. Kwochka, 43, of Hill Street in Shelton was killed in the accident, which occurred on Route 42 in Bethany just before 5 p.m.
Amanda Viktoria Cashmore, 21, of Crescent Circle in Cheshire suffered minor injuries in the accident, State Police said. Kwochka was traveling westbound on Cheshire Road in Bethany and Cashmore's vehicle was traveling eastbound on Route 42.
Both vehicles collided causing heavy damage to the driver's side of both vehicles, State Police said. Kwochka was pronounced dead at the scene and the case remains under investigation.
