Woman Dies After Jeep Hits Tree: Police
The 46-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
WOODBRIDGE, CT — A Bethany woman was killed over the weekend in a Woodbridge crash, according to police.
Emergency personnel responded around 11:30 a.m. Saturday to North Pease Road between Fairgrounds and Amity roads after a resident found a vehicle that was off the road, severely damaged and partially overturned, police said. Its sole occupant, 46-year-old Jessica Ciola, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Ciola was driving a 2018 Jeep Wrangler north on Amity Road on Saturday morning when the vehicle veered off the road, hit a tree and came to rest on its side in a wooded area, police said.

North Pease Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened, according to police. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call 203-387-2511.
