Woodbridge Butcher Shop Closes After Over 45 Years In Business
The owner said the decision to retire and close the shop was "bittersweet," according to a report.
WOODBRIDGE, CT — The Amity Meat Center has closed after more than 45 years in business, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.
Owner Alan Rice, 76, said the decision to retire and close the family-owned butcher shop was "bittersweet," saying that many of his customers have become friends.
The Lucy Street market, dubbed "The Meating Place," closed April 20.
