Woodbridge Police Arrest Blotter (Information via the Police Department's Facebook account)
• Arrestee: Lulzium Boraj, age 31, of 40 Union St Seymour, CT
• Charges: 14-224(b) Evading Responsibility
On January 09, 2018, members of the Woodbridge Police Department served an active criminal arrest warrant for Boraj. The arrest warrant stemmed from a December 2017 motor vehicle accident where Boraj is accused of leaving the scene prior to the arrival of police. Boraj was charged with 14-224(b) Evading Responsibility and was released on his Promise To Appear in New Haven Superior Court on January 24, 2018 for arraignment.

• Arrestee: Jasmine Bookert, age 24, of 17A Mettler St Woodbridge, CT
• Charges: 53-21 Risk Of Injury To A Minor, 53a-101 Burglary 1st Degree (2 counts), 53a-117 Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, 53a-61 Assault 3rd Degree, and 53a-61a Assault 3rd Degree Of A Victim Over 60 Years Old
On Tuesday, January 09, 2018 at about 1:15 p.m. the Woodbridge Police Department responded to a home on Mettler Street for the report of a burglary in progress. The victims contacted the Woodbridge Police Department advising that an unknown party was in their home. Upon arrival Officers apprehended Jasmine Bookert, age 24, of 17A Mettler Street.

The investigation revealed that Bookert entered a neighbor’s home twice on this date causing significant damage. After an altercation ensued between the victims and Bookert she fled to her residence where she was located by the responding Officers.
Bookert was taken into custody and charged with 53a-101 Burglary 1st Degree, 53-21 Risk Of Injury To A Minor, 53a-61 Assault 3rd Degree, 53a-61a Assault 3rd Degree On An Elderly Person, and 53a-117 Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. Bookert was held on a $100,000 bond and transported to New Haven Superior Court on January 10, 2018 for arraignment.
• Arrestee: Joyce Hlava, age 56, of 26 Cleone Drive Waterbury, CT
• Charges: 14-227a Operating Under The Influence and 14-243(b) Unsafe Backing
On January 09, 2018 members of the Woodbridge Police Department responded to Edgehill Drive for the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a USPS vehicle. Upon arriving in the area Officers spoke with operator Joyce Hlava who appeared to be intoxicated.
Hlava was administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests at the scene and ultimately arrested and charged with the above. Hlava was released after posting a $100 bond and given a court date of January 19, 2018 in New Haven Superior Court.
• Arrestee: Juvenile, age 16, of New Haven, CT
• Charges: 53a-48/53a-122 Conspiracy To Commit Larceny 1st Degree
• Arrestee: Juvenile, age 14, of New Haven, CT
• Charges: 53a-122 Larceny 1st Degree
• Arrestee: Juvenile, age 14, of New Haven, CT
• Charges: 53a-48/53a-122 Conspiracy To Commit Larceny 1st Degree
On Sunday, January 14, 2018 at about 11:00 a.m. the Woodbridge Police Department responded to a home on Lawrence St. for the report of two (2) vehicles stolen from a driveway. With the assistance of OnStar, responding Officers were able to provide the location of one of the stolen vehicles to the New Haven Police Department who located the vehicle in their city.
Three (3) juveniles were located in the vehicle and all three (3) were transported to the Woodbridge Police Department where they were charged with the above. All three (3) juveniles were released into the custody of their parents and issued a court date of January 26, 2018 in New Haven Juvenile Court for their arraignments. Later on this date the second stolen vehicle was located in New Haven. Both vehicles were ultimately turned back over to their owner.
• Arrestee: Chris Reith, age 55, of 35 Judson Place Ansonia, CT
• Charges: 51-164r(a) Failure To Respond To An Infraction
On January 09, 2018, members of the Woodbridge Police Department served an active criminal re-arrest warrant for Reith.
The arrest warrant stemmed from Reith’s failure to responded to an infraction issued by the Portland Police Department. Reith was charged with 51-164r(a) Failure To Respond To An Infraction and was released after posting a $150 bond. Reith was issued a court date of January 25, 2018 in Bristol Superior Court for arraignment.
