Woodbridge Police Arrest Woman Accused of Mailing Fake UI Bills
The woman is being charged after fake UI bills were sent to residents in town, according to police.

Woodbridge Police arrested a woman accused of sending fake United Illuminating power bills to residents in Woodbridge.
The bills were directed to a residence in New Haven that doesn’t belong to the company.

Shaquannah Perkins, age 39, 619 South Main St., Waterbury, CT

On 4/24/15 at approximately 2:00 p.m. police served an outstanding arrest warrant on Perkins for the above charges. Her arrest is the result into an investigation that began in January 2014 when a town resident began receiving bills from the United Illuminating Co. for electricity being provided to an address in New Haven, which the resident had no affiliation with. The investigation lead to the issuance of an arrest warrant charging Perkins with the above crimes. She was processed released after posting bond, and was scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on 5/6/15 for arraignment.

Robert Johnson, age 30, 60 Third St., Hamden, CT
Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle
Failure to Drive In Proper Lane
Operating with a Suspended Registration
On 4/9/15 at approximately 1745 hours police served an outstanding arrest warrant on Johnson for the above charges. His arrest stems from the investigation of a motor vehicle accident which occurred on 3/4/15, when Johnson was operating an uninsured vehicle northbound on Rt. 63 near the Clark Road intersection and crossed into the oncoming lane and struck another vehicle. Johnson was released after posting a $500 bond and was given a court date of 4/20/15 in New Haven Superior Court for arraignment.
John Bergstol, age 29, 71 Benz St., Ansonia, CT
Failure to Appear 2nd Degree
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On 4/17/15 at approximately 3:48 p.m. police located Bergstol in a vehicle parked on Fountain St. with its emergency flashers on. Upon approaching the vehicle, police detected the smell of burnt marijuana and located marijuana and drug papaphernalia within the vehicle. Berstol was also found to be wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Norwalk PD for his failure to appear in court for previous motor vehicle related charges. He was taken into custody, processed, released on a $500 bond, and given a court appearance date of 4/28/15 in Norwalk Superior Court.
Lee Chanault, age 55, 181 Butler St., Hamden, CT
Violation of Conditional Discharge
On 4/24/15 at approximately 10:00 a.m. police served an outstanding arrest warrant on Chanault for the above charge pertaining to his recent arrest by the Woodbridge Police Department for a residential burglary that occurred on Rimmon Road. Chenault was detained in lieu of bond and was presented for arraignment that same day in New Haven Superior Court.
Elisia Rosario, age 35, 104 Prospect St., Ansonia, CT
DUI
On 4/24/15 at approximately 11:36 p.m. police responded to the Amity Road area on a report of an erratic driver. Police subsequently located Rosario operating the vehicle on Selden Street. She appeared to be intoxicated and was given a field sobriety test which she failed. Rosario was transported to Police HQ where she was given additional tests. She was charged with the above crime, released after posting a $500 bond, and was scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on 5/6/15 for arraignment.
Giancarlo Colonna, age 41, 1233 Johnson Rd., Woodbridge, CT
Leonard Patterson, age 38, 760 Mix Ave., Apt. 3S, Hamden, CT
Disorderly Conduct
On 4-26-15 at approximately 3:06 a.m. police responded to a Johnson Rd. residence on a report of a fight. Upon arrival it was determined that Colonna and Patterson had been involved in a dispute which turned physical in nature. Both were charged with the above crime and were scheduled to appear in New Haven Superior Court on4/27/15 for arraignment.
