Woodbridge Workshop on the Plan of Conservation and Development

You're invited to review POCD progress and share your thoughts

On Tuesday, September 30, 2014, the Woodbridge Town Plan and Zoning Commission will be holding a Public Workshop on the update to the Town’s Plan of Conservation and Development from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Center Gym, 4 Meetinghouse Lane. Consultants from the firm of Milone & MacBroom will be on hand to coordinate an open discussion about the proposed goals, objectives, and specific action items for the 10 different topical sections of the draft Plan.

The Town Plan and Zoning Commission is required to update its Plan every 10 years to serve as a planning and development guide for the Town. This is your opportunity to review progress to date and share your thoughts on goals and action items the Town will focus on in the coming decade.

Public participation will be organized similar to the first day of the planning charrette held last May, with tables dedicated to each topical section and moderators at each table to coordinate discussion. Participants will have three 20 minute sessions to discuss the materials at each table, allowing them to cover the three most important sections of the draft Plan to them. Once the table discussions are complete, the moderators from each table will synthesize and report to the entire audience the summary points of the discussions at their respective tables. The evening will conclude with a summary of findings from the workshop and an outline of the next steps in drafting the Plan.
