Greetings to the three people, Lisa Sencen, Mel Unger and Julie Doolan, who became members of our club at our February 4th joint meeting with the Garden Club of Orange. We had a full house with over 50 Orange and Woodbridge members attending.

Our guest speaker, Karen Bussolini’s presentation: “Bringing it all Home: Garden Photography, Garden Making, and the Art of Seeing” encompassed focus, framing, light, and integrating a human element when photographing a garden scene. Compositional elements were covered: repetition and pattern, mass and space, background, contrast and movement. Karen trained as a painter and was an architectural photographer before specializing in garden photography, writing, speaking and eco-friendly garden coaching/design. Her garden photography has been published in Garden Design, House Beautiful, House and Garden, and Better Homes and Gardens, and numerous other magazines throughout the world. Her presentation and exquisite garden photos were awesome.
