Old St. Andrew’s Church is pleased to announce its annual concert series, The Songs We Carry, a free season of live music featuring five Connecticut and New England ensembles. Designed as a welcoming gift to the wider community, the series will bring audiences together for evenings and afternoons of Celtic folk music, traditional New Orleans jazz, Latin rhythm, storytelling, seasonal celebration, and shared song.
The series is made possible through the generous support of Friends of Music, a group of Old St. Andrew’s members committed to sharing the joy of music as an expression of hospitality, ministry, and community connection.
Friday, September 25, 2026, 6:30 p.m. — The Jolly Beggars
The season opens with The Jolly Beggars, a Connecticut-based Celtic folk ensemble known for spirited songs, traditional storytelling, tight harmonies, and lively reels and jigs. Their performance brings the richness of Irish and Scottish musical traditions to modern audiences in an engaging, family-friendly program.
