Cohen Secure $850K State Bonding to Wrap Short Beach Traffic-Calming Work (patch.com) — Branford's Short Beach neighborhood is set to see long-awaited safety upgrades after State Rep. Robin Comey and State Sen. Christine Cohen secured $850,000 in additional state bonding. The funding will complete traffic-calming work along Route 142, adding safer crosswalks, sidewalks, lighting, and signage to better protect families, cyclists, and pedestrians. Local and state leaders say the project will finally move to completion after years of planning.
