Body Found in East Haven is of a Branford Man

The Branford man had been reported missing since December 2013.

East Haven Police say the body found near Main Street last month is a Branford man who had been reported missing since December 2013, the New Haven Register reports.

Jonathan Sholun, 33, of Branford, was found dead near a wooded area on April 25. Two teens found the body, the Register reports.

“The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the State of Connecticut made a positive identification of the body that was found April 25, 2015 in East Haven, determined to be Jonathan Sholun (DOB 5-16-1981) of Branford. At this point in the investigation, it appears that no foul play was involved,” said Lt. David Emerman of the East Haven Police Department.

Police say it appears Sholun may have been dead for some time, the Register reports.
