After a three-year hiatus, the Branford Education Hall Of Fame will induct ten (10) new members into the class of 2023.

BRANFORD, CT — After a three-year hiatus, the Branford Education Hall Of Fame will induct ten new members into the class of 2023 on Thursday, April 27 at Woodwinds Restaurant in Branford, event organizers said in a statement.
Since its birth in 1998, the Branford Education Hall of Fame has honored over 230 individuals as it has taken a broadview of the term “education” recognizing ten individuals each year whose special work has enhanced and facilitated learning.

While the Hall of Fame has honored teachers and public school administrators, it has also inducted other deserving individuals who have made significant contributions in the field of education in the town of Branford.
According to event organizers, the ten deserving individuals include; Tracey Ann Amodio, Elementary Physical Education Teacher- Beatrice G. Brown, Elementary Teacher and Paraprofessional - Bob Gaiser, BHS Administrator and First Director of the Horizons Program - Leslie (posthumously) & Richard Hurlburt, School Yard Habitat-Pine Orchard School – Jean Kelley, ALD Educator and Teacher & Brian’s Hope – Patricia Schwab Mooney, WIS Language Arts Teacher – Diane Pappacoda, Branford Early Learning Center Teacher – Susan W. Rood, WIS World Language Teacher – Suzanne Serviss, BHS Social Worker and Elaine F. Brainerd (posthumously), BHS Nurse/Educator.

***Unfortunately, Richard Hurlburt, Patricia Mooney, and Susan Rood will not be able to attend the induction ceremony.
The dinner will begin at 6:15 p.m. with a cocktail hour beginning at 5:15 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person and are available by contacting Alex Palluzzi, Jr. at the Branford Community House at 203-488-8304.
