Branford Home Declared Uninhabitable After Fire

BRANFORD, CT – The Branford Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 51 Sliver St., a two-family residence, at approximately 8:58 p.m. Saturday.

Firefighters arrived to find significant flames on the rear porch, which had spread to both the first and second floors of the home.

Crews began an aggressive interior fire attack and conducted a primary search of the residence. The fire was brought under control within about one hour. Firefighters remained at the scene for an extended period to ensure complete extinguishment and address any remaining hot spots.
