Branford PD Seek Help in Locating Robbery Suspect

Branford Police Detectives are attempting to locate and apprehend a New Haven man who police say attempted to commit a robbery outside Bank of America located on West Main Street today.

According to police the attempted robbery occurred just after 2:30 p.m. today.

A 37-year-old woman was attempting to remove funds from the outdoor ATM when Michael Jensen, 48 allegedly walked up and grabbed her from behind and ordered the victim to hand over the money however the woman had not withdrawn the funds yet.

Jensen then fled the area in a grey 2000 Honda Accord with the Connecticut registration 1457CU.

The victim was not injured nor was a weapon displayed during the incident.

If located Jensen will be charged with attempted robbery and unlawful restraint, police say.
