Branford Police will return to Lenny's Indian Head Inn to host their annual Tip-A-Cop event that benefits Special Olympics Connecticut on Monday, September 27th, from noon to 8 p.m. Lenny's is located at 205 S. Montowese Street in Branford. The Tip-A-Cop event at Lenny's is the longest running Tip-A-Cop for Special Olympics in the state and has raised over $175,000 to date for the organization.

During the event - which has become a much-anticipated tradition - officers will volunteer their time and team up with restaurant employees to welcome customers and take and serve their orders. All tips the officers receive will be dedicated to helping Special Olympics Connecticut provide life-changing sports, health and fitness programs to athletes of all abilities.

Tip-A-Cop is a Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut event. For more information, visit soct.org, email specialolympicsct@soct.org or call (203) 230-1201.

About the Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Connecticut
The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Connecticut is one of the movement's largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicles - celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2021! A highlight of the program is the annual Torch Run, when officers from police departments and law enforcement agencies across the state participate in a three-day run leading up to the Special Olympics Connecticut Summer Games in June. The program extends throughout the year, as the officers also organize and host fundraisers that include but are not limited to Tip-a-Cop, Cop-on-Top and Penguin Plunge events.
