From BPS:Branford will participate in a summer food program which provides breakfast and lunch to all Branford residents eighteen and under at no charge. The program is funded by the USDA Summer Food Service Program and meals will be served at Branford High School, Sliney Elementary School and Tisko Elementary School from June 24 through August 23.
The End Hunger, Branford, CT initiative serves to bridge the food security gap created with the closing of school for summer vacation. We encourage all Branford children and youth to take advantage of the healthy meals offered daily. For further information, please contact John Turenne at jturenne@branfordschools.org or visit the Branford Public Schools website.
The Branford initiative is a joint effort involving Chartwells, the Community Dining Room, the Soundview YMCA, and Branford Park and Recreation Department.
