Branford Rotary Senior Dinner
For the 22nd year, Branford Rotary volunteers set out a holiday dinner fit for kings!
The members of the Branford Rotary Club served up turkey with gravy, ham, fresh mashed potatoes, green beans, fruit cups, crudites, bakery cupcakes, and beverages at its annual holiday dinner prepared for about 200 senior citizens.
The event is in its 22nd year of existence. Most of the attendees arrived by transportation provided by the Canoe Brook Senior Center.
Musical entertainment was provided by a local bluegrass group.

Rotary's "Santa," retired Branford police chief, Robert Gill, merrily greeted all of the guests who were seated at tables within the First Congregational Church.
Following dessert the senior guests, many of whom were decked out in festive holiday attire, were presented with pocket calendars as a memento of the evening by members of the BHS Interact Club.
This annual Branford Rotary event was chaired by Bill Van Wilgen, who was assisted by Stu Tillinghast.
About 30 Rotarians were present to cook, prepare, serve, and clean-up the facilities.
