Branford Schools and Branford Food Pantry Team Up

Three satellite food pantries are being established in the three elementary schools.

Branford Public Schools in collaboration with the Branford Food Pantry is pleased to announce a new initiative called: Feed Branford Kids. Three satellite food pantries are being established in the three elementary schools. The program is an extension of the District’s focus on nutrition and the successful Summer Meals Program.

Each school shall coordinate the stocking of the food pantries. Pantries will be stocked from local donations with distribution made by local volunteers. The program has no eligibility requirement and is designed to be a support to children in need at a location most convenient for them. Each school principal will have a designated contact person who will facilitate access to their school’s pantry.

Next week, additional information regarding how to access each school’s pantry shall be disseminated to all PreK – 4 students.
