Joseph Gillis named to dean's list at Bates College

LEWISTON, ME -- Joseph Gillis of Branford, Conn., was named to the dean's list at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2018. This is a distinction earned by students whose cumulative grade point average is 3.77 or higher. A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that the cumulative grade point average for dean's list was 3.71.

Gillis, the son of Mr. and Ms. Joseph L. Gillis of Branford, Conn., is a 2016 graduate of the Holderness School. He is a sophomore at Bates.
